How to import a bank statement into Xero

To import a bank statement into Xero, first turn the PDF into a CSV with Date, Amount, and Description (or Payee) columns. Then import it against the right Xero bank account.

How to import a statement into Xero

  1. 1. Convert the statement. Upload the statement PDF and download the CSV.
  2. 2. Go to the bank account. In Xero: Accounting → Bank accounts → your account → Manage → Import a Statement.
  3. 3. Map & import. Match Date, Amount, and Description to the CSV columns and import.
