Why Barclays statements don't import into Xero directly
Xero imports bank data from CSV, not PDF, so a Barclays statement has to be converted first. Barclays uses separate Money in and Money out columns in £; the converter merges them into one signed Amount. You get one clean, Xero-ready ledger instead of fighting merged cells and split columns.
